Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible to ensure accurate paperwork completion and submission, collaborate on structural design, and execute CAD work for diverse engineering drawings. Integral in recommending improvements and documenting processes to enhance overall project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assure all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner and submitted to the Project Manager/HSE Manager.
  • Follow all corporate policies and procedures and follow all aspects of safety regulations; exercise the duty to stop and report any activity that is against aforementioned policies and regulations.
  • Have the ability to assist with obtaining completion pictures, punch list of deficiencies, etc. all to meet customer and 3CIS expectations.
  • Work with our PEng. and other staff on structural Design for Lattice and Pole towers.
  • Work with our PEng. and other staff on foundation Designs.
  • Work with our PEng. and other staff on mount Designs.
  • Work with other project managers and technicians for fiber and conduit placement including drafting As-builts and Redlines.
  • Work with our PEng. and other staff on recommendations on new structures, new materials, and optimization strategies.
  • Recommendations on Improvements
  • Design and perform CAD work for shop drawings, Redlines, As-Builts, and other engineering drawings in 2D and 3D.
  • Complete documentation on processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in CAD drafting and designing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, architecture, drafting) or Engineering Technologist diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SmartDraw, Visio, Sketchup, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and standards.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • Valid driver’s license and willing to travel occasionally (potentially 20% travel required during construction months).
