Position Title: Equipment Operator

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for full-time year-round work supporting various telecommunications projects in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively and safely operate various types of equipment on adverse terrain.
- Exercise extreme caution with awareness of buried utilities and structures.
- Interprets verbal and non-verbal communication (including hand signals) from operators, ground personnel and Labourers, and acts accordingly.
- Perform mechanical inspections and servicing including controls and operations, completing logbooks, performs maintenance and adjustments, ensures good housekeeping, and performs machine lubrication.
- Recognize existing and potential hazards and know how to identify these through field level pre-job hazard analysis.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating different types of equipment.
- Experience operating a Ditch Witch RT120Q is an asset.
- Experience operating a trencher or installing conduit an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Specific Role Information:
- Successful candidates will be subject to complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing as per client requirements.
- Valid CSTS, Common Safety Orientation certificate, Ground Disturbance.
- H2S, and Standard First Aid an asset.
- Projects are based around Western Canada and typically operate on a 10 on and 4 off schedule.
- When working in the field, days are typically 10-12 hours.
- When working out of town, accommodations and meals are provided. Plus, additional out of town bonus for each day working out of town (subject to 3CIS terms and conditions).
