Position Title: Operations Manager

Location: Grande Prairie, AB

Working in conjunction with the VP Field Operations for the Grande Prairie branch, the Operations Manager will be instrumental in enabling the growth of the Grande Prairie office and operations. The Operations Manager plans and oversees the daily operations of the branch to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Involved in day-to-day operational activities including invoicing, hiring, inventory, onboarding, and vendor management.
  • Bring forward and implement ideas on how to increase our presence in the Grande Prairie markets. This may involve an aspect of sales/marketing and business development.
  • Measure productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
  • Coordinate actions with other support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful operations.
  • Contact, train and supervise employees if necessary although task specific training will fall under other areas of the company.
  • Ensure that the facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained to the satisfaction of customers and employees.
  • Maintain records which may include but are not limited to safety documents, project plans, and decision records.
  • Work with employees to set development goals and help them achieve them.
  • Manage human resources issues.
  • Communicate with customers, coordinate job activities, and ensure all documentation has been captured.
  • Respond to customer complaints and handle any problems that arise.
  • Promote company services to meet goals and objectives and expand services to other areas of business.
  • Assist with or prepare and update operations manual and policies.
  • Assist with RFP response or proposal preparation, documents, and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Five years of related experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Valid driver’s license and willing to travel occasionally.
